Let us tell you our story!

In March 1991 two young Swiss travelers, Yvonne Gloor and Kurt Binder emigrated to Australia to explore a new Country and enjoy the outdoors. In the following 18 months we travelled as Tour guides with motorcycle tours through Australia, the USA and Canada and by the end of 1992 we landed in New Zealand. We quickly realized that New Zealand's tourism industry was still in its infancy. So we decided to settle in New Zealand and organize our own motorcycle tours and create BIKE ADVENTURE NEW ZEALAND (BANZ) as a partnership.

From humble beginnings...! A coincidence brings the BANZ team together with Claude Junker of Junker Reisen. Together we approach the largest Swiss Motorcycle Magazine (MSS) and soon after we arrange our first reader's trip.

Time flies and in 1998 the FAMILY BUSINESS was established. Our son Nathaniel Zak (NZ) is born. In the same year we purchased the first Campervans and BANZ Travelcars was founded. Not only was the company growing but so was our family. At the beginning of April 2001 our second son Raphael Beau was born and a short time after on 26.4.2001 founders Yvonne Gloor and Kurt Binder registered their company BANZ Tours and Rentals Ltd. on the company registry in Auckland, New Zealand.
